ITV in the UK has picked up Pushing Daisies.

From Variety.com:

LONDON — Blighty’s biggest terrestrial web ITV is lining up two U.S. shows for flagship web ITV1 following a spending spree at the L.A. Screenings.

Two of the three shows it announced it has bought — wife swapping drama “Swingtown” and high concept police procedural “Pushing Daisies” — will air on ITV1, according to acquisitions topper Jay Kandola.

They are understood to be the first U.S. programs to be broadcast on ITV1 for more than a decade.

A year ago the web bought “Six Degrees” for ITV1, but when the show was cancelled in the U.S. the broadcaster was forced to change its plans.

ITV wants a high-profile U.S. hit to compete against rivals Channel 4 and Five, whose schedules rely on imports like “Desperate Housewives” and the “CSI” franchise.
